Frequently Asked Questions

  • Each practice will focus on a specific and foundational soccer technique (I.e. dribbling, passing, shooting, etc.). During the session, the players will enjoy practicing these techniques through engaging activities that are appropriate for their age and skill level. Our coaching method relies heavily on constant engagement as we limit activities which include standing in lines. 

  • Practice sessions are built around foundational soccer skills which are tethered to character traits. We will introduce these topics at the beginning of practice, and then discuss how to demonstrate them in life and on the soccer field.

  • Eagles Rec follows CESC policy regarding weather. 

    Activities will be cancelled if:  

    • Lightning or extreme weather is present*

    • Extreme heat (see below) 

    • Fields are too wet due to heavy rainfall 

      *Heat Index Recommendations: 
      - Up to 89° - Normal play 
      - 90° to 99° - Mandatory two-minute water breaks per half with running time. 
      - 100° to 105° - Mandatory two-minute water breaks per half with running time. Each half shortened by ten minutes. 105° - Suspend play 

    *If lightning is within 10 miles the game(s) or practice(s) should be suspended and all players should take shelter for 30 minutes.

  • All registrations must be completed ONLINE by February 7th, 2024.  No late registrations will be accepted.  We do expect the league to fill up, so don’t delay, SIGN UP TODAY!e this is a time for each person to grow spiritually within our ministry environment. During the first weeks of the season our players participate in sports ministry training as part of their induction. There are also opportunities to coach the next generation of Eagles talent at our youth camps that run throughout the summer.

  • We are proud to offer trained and employed head coaches for each of our teams!  This can include parents who are interested! Our vision is that they will not only teach your kids soccer basics in an organized manner across each of our teams, but also character and life lessons.

  • All players should have their soccer ball clearly marked with their name, a water bottle, shin guards, and outdoor shoes or cleats.

  • The season is 8 weeks long starting in March wrapping up in the end of April.

  • Eagles Rec teams are Co Ed with four age divisions.

    • First Flight: (Age 4)

    • Division 1: U6 (Ages 5-6)

    • Division 2: U8 (Ages 7-8)

    • Division 3: U10 (Ages 9-10)

  • Charlotte Eagles REC League games are played on Saturdays between 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

  • U6 - Projecting 4 v 4 (no goalkeepers)
    U8 - Projecting 7 v 7 (including goalkeepers)
    U10 - Projecting 7 v 7 (including goalkeepers)

  • Yes! All players will receive a Nike jersey.

    Shorts/pants, socks, shin guards and cleats are not provided, but shin guards are mandatory.
